Contemplation & Christian Mysticism

When Jesus walked the earth, He proclaimed that eternal life
was summed up in the intimate experiential knowledge of and
communion with God through the Holy Spirit. Yet today we have
almost no idea of what that really means for us personally.
For some, the practice of Christianity has become a matter of obligation
and dry religious ritual. For some it is merely a study in doctrine or
moral and ethical theology. Yet Jesus calls us all to a vibrant and
intimate relationship with Him - the relationship of a lover to a beloved - a
bridegroom to a bride. This page is dedicated to the writings and
teachings of those people throughout history who walked with Jesus
at this level of intimacy; a fellowship of burning hearts who cry out
to us from the Holy of Holies, inviting us to come in and make our
dwelling with them.
