WHAT DO I MEAN BY DNA?

Just what you probably think! A DNA is a seed of life, containing the elements, structures and intrinsic properties of life. This includes the properties of growth and development! Of course there is the need for feeding and conditioning from other elements without as well for the proper development to take place.

The fact that we need a new life within us is made more obvious every day by the sinfulness of the evil part of our human nature. Just read the newspaper, look around you or look within! But even if this were not the case we still need the life of Christ because we were created to contain God and His very life and nature!! How desperately we need this salvation from our old nature and sinfulness!! But even if we were NOT sinners our very nature as human beings was invented by our Creator to experience, contain, express and convey His wonderful life! So if you don't have this within, no wonder you are not happy and fulfilled as a human being!

Romans 9:23 uses the word "vessels" concerning mankind and this is not just a one time concept in the scriptures. Man was created to contain something!! It has been said that we were created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26) and that a glove was made in the likeness of a hand to contain the hand, so "man was created in the image of God with the purpose of containing God." Even if you have the best of everything else there is an emptiness within that cannot be explained in any other way. the Bible says "we have this treasure in earthen vessels." Many believers I know can testify to you that there are treasures within, feelings and functions of a new life within them that was never there before they Believed in Jesus Christ. It is better than any earthly treasure or experience than they have ever had before.

What is the problem? Long ago mankind had fallen far away from God into sin and self centeredness and the result has been a multitude of barriers between God and man on many levels. Not only do we need a new nature to be happy within, we need forgiveness, restitution, regeneration and reconciliation. In order to bridge this gap and even add more on the positive side to us as His creatures, God decided to become a man!! Although, He still remained the eternal, infinite, all powerful Deity the whole time, He chose to live under the limitations of human flesh (and although He was sinless), tasting the sorrows, temptations and woes of human life.

The Life-Giving Death of the God-man

This wonderful God-man through His most awful death on Calvary's cross satisfied the public justice and penalty of God towards sin throughout the entire universe making possible not only salvation and forgiveness but the gift of God's very Own life and nature to "whosoever will" believe in Christ! What a wonderful gift! The contents of this gift is wealth untold for your inner man! AND healing for the outer man as well. The cross displays how much God loves you in that He died for you and became a seed falling into the ground that God's very life could be released to mankind! He is not only willing to forgive your sin and cleanse you but He will also dispense His very life into your human spirit that you may have life and have it more abundantly than you ever dreamed!

The Life-Giving Spirit in Resurrection

After Christ died on the cross He arose from the dead in a indestructible body and the scripture says "the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit." Through His death and resurrection Christ can give you the very life of God and a perfect resurrected man! Who can beat such a life!

How to Enter Into Life and have Life Enter into You

It was Paul of Tarsus who testified in Acts 20:21 about "repentance towards God and faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ." To repent means to turn your mind and heart towards God instead of other things that you looked to for satisfaction. Paul also testified in Romans 10:9 "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." He goes on to say in verse 13: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." So we need faith. To receive this eternal life you must believe in your heart that this Jesus I'm talking about arose from the dead and with your mouth (don't ask my why it must be but I know it works!!) you must confess Him as your Lord. This is done best by calling out upon His name. Let us pray now. Repeat this prayer out loud:

"Lord Jesus, Oh Lord Jesus, I do believe in You! Thank You for dying for me. I do turn from my sin to You. Please now, Lord, be my salvation, my Lord and Life. Come into my life right now. Amen."

It should go without saying but often this spiritual reality is overlooked. To be an offspring or next generation as someone's son oftentimes involves an inheritance being passed on to the next generation. So what is the in-heritance to us who are God's children? Oh! That's simple! Literally everything!

Rain is just one example of how God feeds and waters the earth. Sunshine is another. All the many seeds on this earth need not only these elements but the dirt in which they are housed in order to grow. So with the life of God. God's life in Himself  needs no growth. But that same life when planted in us needs growth and nurturing. If you have believed in Christ you need to eat and drink Him as the Bread of Life and the Water of Life every day. you will find it many times to become the most precious experience of your life, sweetening all the other experiences of life and making even the dullest of days significant. Most important, if you'll feed your inner man eventually this inner man will grow stronger than the outer man! This is really the way to victory. Victory is IN Jesus! How do you drink Him? Call upon his name. how do you eat Him? Behold Him and make Him your focus. Sometimes the Bible is a help in focusing on Christ that you might partake of Him and grow.

When God invented the butterfly, He had resurrection on his mind! This butterfly spent some dark time in his own personal tomb. Before he entered his cocoon his little life form was quite different! You could say he was not so beautiful as he is now, but also he was quite limited to crawling the earth and climbing trees. Now he can fly the heavens! The new life he has is certainly better. It was certainly worth the dark sleep in the cocoon!

Yes, even our time of sleep and rising each morning is a picture of resurrection. You will find resurrection written on the very face of the creation of God including the planting and reaping of this whole earth.

So what kind of life is this that God offers to place within your very being and share with you? ? It is a heavenly and indestructible life which has already past through the worst death has to offer and come out better on the other side!! Being born again the second time is far better than our first birth! Let God prove it to you!
